The Outreach Team at Trinity United is focused on contributing to God’s work in the church community and the city of Prince George. The team makes soup and sandwiches to serve the guests at St. Vincent de Paul’s Drop In Centre on the second Sunday of the month. In addition to lunch, the team also offers other items such as tissues, socks, toques, gloves, and hand warmers to the guests. A big event for the Outreach Team is to make up and distribute shoebox gifts at the December Soup Kitchen. Members of the congregation make up a number of gifts, and the team assembles more in a work bee. More than 100 gifts are given out each year. Another part of Outreach is the collection of non-perishable food items on the first Sunday of the month. The items collected are donated to the Food Pantry at the Activity Centre for Empowerment (ACE). The In Deo Project makes up bags of toiletries for agencies in Prince George such as Phoenix Transition Home and Hadih House. If you are interested in becoming involved with any of the Outreach activities, contact the office for more information.
